What we offer you!

As an electrical teacher, you will lead courses with a focus on the students and develop the vocational training programs in the direction that companies in the electrical engineering field demand.

You will do this in a team of experts, all with backgrounds from the labor market. You will teach vocational subjects where students can apply the technical content of the education in a practical context. Subjects that are particularly relevant include those with a property focus and with Magicad or Revit as the main software. Courses related to alarm, access, and fire systems may also be relevant.

You will also guide students during laboratory work and generally act as a supportive person in electrical engineering, both theoretically and practically.

Your workplace will be at Jacobsskolan in Hässleholm. The position is a permanent employment starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Who are you?

As you will serve as the link between theory and professional life for the students, you need to have relevant experience such as an electrical designer or preparer/project manager. You need good knowledge of the software used in the profession as this is a significant part of the job. You are someone who enjoys teaching others, and it is an advantage if you have experience in conducting training. We also prefer that you have completed the theoretical part for authorized electrical installers according to the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority, as well as knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Electrical design for properties, property systems, lighting calculations, cable sizing. For the job, you need to have a high school education, and we view positively if you have a post-secondary education in electrical engineering.

In the role of teacher, much communication is involved, both oral and written, which requires you to have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic knowledge of the most common programs in Microsoft 365. You are accustomed to working in a computer-based work environment and have skills in the software used in the courses you will be teaching, such as Magicad, Revit, Dialux.

Some of your strengths include working well with others and your pedagogical ability. It is natural for you to take initiative, drive progress, and make things happen. You are goal- and results-oriented, and delivering quality is something you always strive for.

The Labor Market Administration is responsible for financial assistance, labor market policy measures, and the municipality's adult education. Students are educated both theoretically and practically in close collaboration with companies in the region towards demanded competencies and professional roles. The programs are post-secondary and last for two years, with one quarter allocated to industry companies in the form of LIA (Learning in Work).
